I was fat, 293 lbs.
I was getting older, 35 years and counting.
I was on the couch, no exercise for 18 years.
I was headed for trouble.
One day I woke up and saw the light.
I realized I had to change my life.
I lost my mind, and decided to do a triathlon .
I spent a year teaching myself how to run, ride, and swim.
The riding and swimming was easy.
The running was another story.
It was overwhelming.
It made me feel like a failure.
It seemed impossible.
I kept at it.
I made every mistake in the book.
I ran too fast.
I ran too far.
I ran too much.
Eventually I figured it out.
I became a runner.
I learned to love running.
Running changed my life.
My fitness was through the roof.
My body felt great.
My confidence was off the charts.
Everything was better.
I realized that I had to share this experience.
I became an ambassador with a triathlon club.
I taught people how to run.
I fell in love with teaching.
I taught and coached for years.
I got certified by USA Track and Field.
I realized that this was my calling.
I wanted to reach more people.
I started to teach online.
I taught hundreds of first timers how to run for free .
I used this experience to build my programs.
I created my website.
I believe anyone can run.
I want to prove this to anyone willing to give it a try.
I succeeded at my sprint triathlon,
then I did a olympic triathlon,
then a half Ironman triathlon,
then a marathon,
then a full Ironman
(2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride, 26.2 mile run).
I lost 85 lbs.
Anything is possible!
